PARTIAL PRESS RELEASE
Festival of Song and Arts Academy Hosts Annual Event at Grace University,
June 16 - 18, 2011
Omaha, Nebraska-
Songfestival, A traveling conservatory of song, will be conducting a festival workshop
to be held June 16-18, 2011 at Grace University.
During this workshop, local high school and college vocalists will participate in:
Repertoire Class
Diction Class
Master Class
Festival Faculty & Participant Recital
Some events and a final performance will be open to the public - free of charge.
The focus of the festival will be the instruction of student singers in the art and technique
of classical art song literature. Each student will be given individual instruction in song
preparation, vocal technique, language and diction by professional musicians invited to
Grace University for the Festival. The students will be coached on the meaning of text,
diction, and vocal production. Students are chosen for participation in the festival via
application to the festival Artistic Director, Elias Mokole. Further information about the

The Festival of Song & Academy is dedicated to bringing high-quality educational and
performance opportunities to young career-oriented singers, and to offer rich cultural
experience to the people of the local community. Young people and our visiting
professionals are able to join together for a concentrated musical experience focused
on the poetry and technical aspects of classical art song.
Grace University is hosting the Festival of Song & Arts Academy this year. The music
department at Grace offers a major in Music and Music Education where students can
experience choral, instrumental and contemporary worship music.
